JENNIFER GRANT

The first poems Jennifer Grant adored were the Mother Goose nursery rhymes her father recited before bedtime during her childhood. Those magical incantations birthed her lifelong obsession with words. She spent 15 years as a newspaper journalist (from the Big Easy to the Florida Everglades) before she realized she needed more magic and more verse in her chaotic life. She now resides near The Swamp in Newberry, FL where she considers wrestling gators as well as words.

Her third collection of poetry, Flower of Life in Three Movements, was published in July 2026 by Kelsay Books. Her second collection, Dangerous Women, won the 2021 Blue Light Press Book Award. Her first collection, Good Form (which ambles through the alphabet of poetic form) was published by Negative Capability Press in 2017. Keep up with her scribblings at jenniferlynngrant.com.
